Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento
Ashton Blaise Whitty, born October 1, 1995, was born in Berkeley, California. Her work as an actress is popular for Choices (2010, The Heart and Other Small Shapes, 2006) as well as Chrissie Mair's Content House 2022.
Asia Argento is an Italian actor and filmmaker born into an extended household. She has also pursued film and acting. She made her debut when she was only 9 years young in the film of Sergio Citti, Sogni e bisogni. In 1988, she had the leading role in Cristina Comencini's first film, Zoo, and was part of the cast of The Church directed by Michele Soavi. In the year following her debut, she portrayed Nanni Moritti's baby as a child in Red Wood Pigeon. Her career took off when she got the part of Nanni's little girl on the set of Close Friends. Cannes International Film Festival received the film well. In Trauma she worked for the first time alongside her father, famed Italian film director Dario Argento his mother, one of Argento's favorite actresses, Daria Nicolodi, playing an overweight girl on the lookout for her parents' killer. Asia's intense way of acting was effectively utilized in Giuseppe Piccioni's Condannato a nozze. The actress co-starred alongside Carlo Verdone in Perdiamoci di vista as Arianna, a girl who is physically disabled. The intricate and challenging part earned her an award: a David di Donatello Prize for the Best Actress. In 1995 she teamed up along with Michel Piccoli to produce Peter Del Monte Compagna di viaggio in which she was awarded a David di Donatello. Asia began directing in 1994, releasing two shorts and an episode from the film De Generazione. In 1996 she made a documentary about her father and AbelAsia which was a documentary about the cult filmmaker Abel Ferrara. In 1998, Asia directed AbelAsia, which was awarded by the Rome Film Festival. In 1999, Asia was the first to direct a feature film in the form of Scarlet Diva with Scarlet Diva, in which she was the leading actress as well as the writer of the screenplay. The movie was released on May 20th, 2000 in Italy as well as in various different countries. The film received an award during the Williamsburg Festival of Brooklyn, New York.
